The history of its Shrewsbury headquarters can be traced back to 1925 and the company history further back to 1812. Through the 1960s and 70s the automotive sector increasingly became the focus of the company, initially through toolmaking activities, but since the early 80s through the supply of Body-in-White stampings and assemblies. Today, our Client supplies over 150 million such parts annually to the world's leading automotive manufacturers from 6 plants in the UK and 1 in Germany.

Loughborough based resin flooring contractor, IRL Group were brought in to provide gangways and lining to new and existing Production Areas along with resin floor repairs and floor joints at the site in Telford.
New resin flooring was applied to T5-T6 Area (2400m2) which was a previously painted concrete slab using an Altro 2mm Self Smoothing System of Altro Consolidating Primer with one coat of Altroprime EP followed by Altroflow EP2000 to a nominal 2mm thickness.
Altrotect High Build Coating was applied for the gangways and linings to the new and existing Production Areas. Altro Tect is a durable twin-pack solvent-free epoxy high build floor coating for use in light to medium duty industrial applications. Altro Tect offers excellent chemical and abrasion resistance.

Resin floor repairs and floor joints were completed using an Altro System of Altroprime EP and Altro Resdue Epoxy Resin Mortar.
As the plan was to complete the works in the shortest time possible the client was very grateful to the team for their efforts over the tight two week programme, commenting that ‘the results are outstanding’.
