The IRL Group, specialist installers of resin flooring have delivered a tailor made flooring solution for the prestigious Imperial Science Museum, London.
IRL were called in to supply tanking for the plant room on the 5th floor of the museum in order to prevent leaks to the areas below.
IRL has a flexible approach and have their own operatives which was vital to the success of this unusual project.
The museum is open to the public 7 days a week so the team worked before opening hours to ensure minimum disruption to the public.
IRL has excellent working relationships with several major suppliers of resin flooring systems,which means that they are able to provide the most appropriate system for any job.
A solvent free Sika Tanking system was used for this project to ensure that staff and visitors to the museum were not affected by odours taken through the air conditioning unit.
IRL pride themselves on attention to detail, and due to the location of this project, and the fact that they had to work around the Museum's air handling units, some of the resin flooring was pored using small measuring jugs and funnels to ensure a perfect end result.
The contract was delivered efficiently, on time and with no disruption to the public. The client can now be confident that the plant room is sealed and that any leaks from the air conditioning units will be contained by the new resin flooring.
